The birds are likely just as noisy in the morning as they are during the day, however, during the day their noise likely gets drowned out by ambient noise from cars, the wind etc. Thus, the birds will sound very loud since there are no other sounds present.

Also, when we are tired, we are more irritable and sensitive to loud noises and bright lights. This can also be a reason why you perceive the birds so loud, if you were woken up early by the birds and are tired.
