After a while, corpses lose all the gasses inside. The abdomen in particular reduces. This is later followed by distention due to the production of new gasses during decomposition.
There is an effect called hypostasis where the blood extravases, and settles with gravity at the lower extremities, but I don’t think it affects the shape too much, but it does create a very obvious colour change in a cadaver which has been lying for many hours. It’s also called post-mortem staining.
