Pain is your body’s way of motivating you to protect yourself. [People who don’t feel pain](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Congenital_insensitivity_to_pain) often die in childhood due to unnoticed injuries.
In the case of your nuts, you have a strong evolutionary reason to protect them. If you ancestors weren’t motivated to protect them, they wouldn’t have pass on their genes to make you.
Your testicles are crucial to reproduction. If they get damaged, you can’t procreate. So your body creates intense pain to tell you to be fucking careful!! If it didn’t hurt as bad, we might not be as careful, and we would have less chance at reproduction
The testicles are the only major organ to be “outside” the body most other organs are in the body surrounded by tissue and fat for protection it the testicles have no such protection
Some cavemen had balls which felt pain, and some had balls which didn’t feel pain. The ones whose balls felt pain were able to have more kids, and pass on that trait.
