There is no scientific evidence that aloe helps heals wounds, so your premise is flawed. Sure, it’s been used for that purpose forever – but people can do dumb things for a long time and that doesn’t make them any less dumb.
Maybe it does work…but if so, no one’s really been able to prove it yet. So all you’ve got is “someone told someone it does this”.
The literature for aloe vera is lacking and there’s limited to none clinical testing to confirm if that it is effective. But there are said benefits with using it as it can provide anti-inflammatory, increased immune activity, anti-bacterial and anti-viral effects. Again, this is still subject to further testing.
