What do you mean? Like why can I see it wherever in the world I am, or why does it look like it moves with me when I’m driving?

For the former, it’s because the moon orbits the Earth, so you can see it everywhere depending on the day, time and phase the moon is it.

For the latter, it’s because the moon is so far away. You changing your position on Earth by 5 or 50 miles won’t make a difference in where you see the moon.

It’s not following you. It’s perspective. You’re on a moving object (possibly your car) which is on a moving object (earth) which is being accompanied by another moving object (moon).

Basically, everything is moving in a fashion that it looks like it’s following you.

Try experimenting by taking a book and keeping it in front of you and try to look over the book while moving your head. The book is stationary but the perspective of what is behind it makes you see it differently.

I don’t understand the question. Are you asking why is the moon always in the sky?

You are driving in your car. The trees zip past, and behind them the moon follows you.

You are of course familiar with the fact that far-away things zip past as fast as the close trees. But most far-away things are mountains and landscape features that LOOK far away.

But the Moon doesnt LOOK far away. It just looks like a glowing orb, hovering just behind the trees.
