Eli5: Why other continents are more advanced than africa economicaly,socially, technologically etc .. ?

Well there is a plentitude of reasons why it is today, but it basically boils down to “because it has a harsher enviroment” when you follow the chain of causes.
This caused a disadvantage in the global competition and enabled europe leaving a colonial clusterfuck in the 19th century
