When baby animals are born, how do they know that that weird hungry feeling means to go eat and how do they know what to eat?

If there was a baby animal that didn’t have that urge to eat, it would’ve starved to death. Hence, the only animals that survive were the ones that had the urge to eat when they felt hunger.
