A long time ago a bird flew to the back of a rhino and found some bugs. The bird ate the bugs and got food, while the rhino was cleared of pests. The birds eventually became dependent on this source of food and now couldn’t do without it. The rhino gets a benefit out of it so doesn’t necessarily try to make the birds go away.
