glasses and astigmstisms

I recently got new glasses and a changed prescription to correct an astigmstism. I somewhat understand that it’s like a part of my inner eye is crooked or something. But how to the glasses fix that?

Your eye is not perfectly spherical. Glasses are adjusted, rotates at a specific angle to accommodate for your astigmatism. If you look at your prescription, it’ll show three numbers. The last two numbers are the adjustments required for the astigmatism in that eye. 🙂
