Hormone triggers are responsible for burning fat, right? Why aren’t there drugs that exploit and supercharge this process?

Proper exercise is hard to come by, when your back is basically broken. I want to pop some Notbuprofen and feel the burn as the pounds melt away.

In theory, a drug that stimulates the hormones that demand the burning of fat *should* be possible. Why isn’t it, and/or why has no one made this yet?

I know you didnt ask for this but i would suggest trying out fasting and dont know what food you eat but i recently got diagnosed with prediabetes and changing my diet plus extending my non-eating hours have done wonders getting me back in shape without an excessive amount of exercise. A bit still helps but i dont know your sitiuation and how much of anything you can do. Hope its just a temporary thing and you do better soon!

Like others have mentioned we dont just “burn” fat – it has to go somewhere so giving the body some time to actually use up the energy we feed it helps quite a bit. Eating more natural whole foods coupled with the fasting has almost deleted the feeling of hunger for me and i feel so much better and -10 kgs in just a few months.
