how are bronze statues made?

I think the term is ‘lost wax casting’. From my understanding:
A sculptor makes the whole statue out of foam and a kind of sculpting wax. Then, plaster is thrown at or poured over the sculpture and pushed into every detail. Once dried, it is taken apart in sections and molten bronze poured in, evaporating the wax. Then the plaster is smashed off the bronze casting and the statue assembled with each section being welded together and the the welds tidied up.
Might have it off slightly but look it up on YouTube. I think they rotate the mold with the molten metal inside so that the casting is hollow.
