How are memories stored in our brain?

So think of your brain like a big library! When you learn something new or have a special moment, it’s like checking out a book from the library. Your brain puts that memory in a special section just for you. When you want to remember it later, your brain goes back to that special section and brings it out for you to see again, just like finding a book in the library!
That is how I would explain it to a 5 year old
