I have a pair of bluetooth headphones and they do a lot of “beeps” in different situations such as when turning on, connecting, etc. My question is how are these sounds stored?

Inside the headphones are a “microcontroller” which is basicly another word for a computer. As part of the computer are the bluetooth curcuits to be able to communicate with your phone/devices. The microcontroller also has stores sounds it can play for you as part of the user experience. The sounds are stored just as it would be on your regular computer, but instead of a harddrive the sounds and other data are “burnt” inside the devices chips. (Often they are part of the software that can be updated by “firmware updates”.
So to keep it short : the sounds are stored on a very tiny computer inside the headphones.
