Tissue is made up of cells. Those cells live, and die. While they are living they divide to make an identical copies. Well, sometimes the copy isn’t perfect. Those imperfect copies can go haywire and make way too many copies. That’s one type of tumor. Sometimes the body will form a mass of tissue around a perceived defect.
