How are videos recorded? How are we able to record the moment exactly how it happened?

By capturing lots of still images and stitching them together.
The still images are captured by a grid of sensors which detect the colour and intensity of light that hits the surface of the sensor
The scene bring captured is projected onto the grid of sensors, by focusing all of the light in the scene, through a curved glass lens. It acts similar to how is you hold a flashlight and walk closer to a wall, the beam of light gets smaller… The lens takes all the light in the scene and condenses it onto the sensor grid.
