How are weatherman able to predict weather days in advance ?

Not that well.
There are meteorological models that take as input what happened in the past few days and predict the future of those patterns. Some models, like those that predict hurricane positions are pretty good for 3-5 days. Others, for general weather, are not so good. The farther you go beyond 5 days the more “weather guessing” is involved.
