False, pools are laid out so that you would literally have to plug a bunch of other return lines before it would have any pressure on you and those pumps will jam very easily. No evisceration
The pressure at the bottom of the pool is extremely high, especially at high depths. When the valve is open, the pressure difference causes a very quick and powerful rush of fluid that can easily incapacitate you.
It has to do with the difference of pressure/water volume between one side of an opening and another. It’s really not likely to be a problem in a small swimming pool, but it is a huge danger for more industrial settings.
