How come music sounds different when you listen to it driving?

I don’t know how to explain it but I just feel like some types of songs aren’t as pleasant to hear as they are out of a car. Could it be because of waves ? And How would that be explained?

Thank you I hope my question is clear

Your car probably has at least 4, and often as many as 7 speakers, all inside a small closed space, with a lot of glass (which reflects) and foam (which absorbs)

The result, if that even in a car with a fairly crappy stereo, it has a very different sound stage to what you’re getting from headphones or a two speaker stereo in your home.
