How come, seeing as Apple is the wealthiest company in the world, Apple CEO isn’t the richest man in the world?

The Apple CEO doesn’t have lots of stock in Apple. Jeff Bezos’ and Bill Gates were founders of their companies and retained a lot of the stock when the companies became very valuable. Their paychecks aren’t huge, but they get their money from those stocks
Because the CEO is not the owner. He’s an employee. The CEO’s salary is set by the board of directors, who are elected by the stock holders (the actual owners).
Because they don’t pay him enough to be? There’s no direct correlation between CEO wages and company value.
