how come you can’t eat after brushing your teeth at night? shouldn’t the toothpaste protect your teeth like it does after brushing in the morning?

Flouride in toothpaste is only effective if it stays on your teeth for several minutes after brushing. Eating food right after bruahing destroys the Flouride before it reacts with your enamel, leaving your teeth unprotected.
