How did the Cliffs of Moher form?

Or similar features like them, geologically? Wondering how a shear drop or break like that would form, going into ocean like that. Thanks!

The cliffs are sedimentary rock formed at the bottom of the ocean. You can still see the layers. Tectonic uplift brought them above sea level. (Fault line). Erosion does the rest.
