One answer I see missing from here is the specific answer in the case of post mortem rape, where trauma (tears and abrasions to the victims genitals – on its own isn’t 100% proof of rape coz some people like it rough) to the genitals leaves no blood spilling out which implies the cuts/tears occurred after the heart stopped beating (genital trauma in alive person would have bleeding from the injuries), and therefore pathologists can tell the sex was non-consensual as a dead person can’t say no
