Aside from not being in an aggressive mood in the hive, you also have to remember that bees are not soft fleshy meat-sacks like us.

They’re insects with hard chitinous exoskeletons. That’s why they crunch when you step on them. They wear little suits of plate armor.

Not really vulnerable to accidental stings.
