how do broken bones heal?

I, 22/f, recently broke my first bone EVER (fractured wrist, rollerblading incident..) which has led me to question: how does the body handle the process in which it repairs? Thanks friends!

Ok, so imagine there’s a crack in a highway. You have one group of people who come in and breaks down all the slightly broken chunks or loose gravel off of the highway, to get it ready to fix. These are called osteoclasts. Then there’s another group of people who come in and build new highway material over the crack, called osteoblasts. Combine this process with immobilization and time, and the bone heals
