How do dust devils form?

Air near the ground gets heated rapidly and begins to rise. If the rising air start to spin, you get a dust devil. The spinning pulls in more hot air like a vacuum, which gets sucked up, causing more spinning, sucking up more air and so forth.
Eventually some much cooler air will get sucked in instead and the cool air doesn’t cooperate with the whole rising thing, so the whole dust devil falls apart at that point.
