A complex set of mathematical operations and a certain pattern that makes it unlikely that if you were to make up a string of numbers that it would fit the pattern.
For example maybe the 3rd and 9th digit have to add up to the number in the 12th digit spot, and more instances of stuff like that, but much more complex.
