From the Electrocardiograms. The heart has little bumps called ‘nodes’ on it. The nodes send out electrical signals to the rest of the heart to make sure it keeps pumping right. Electrocardiograms [ECGs, or EKGs] measure the electrical out put of the heart. A trained person can look at an EKG and see what is going on with the heart.
