How do toddlers and children have so much strength and stamina

I’m just amazed how they can literally stay all day in the playground running and climbing up and down and barely breaking a sweat. my son watched a neighbor doing pull ups and imitated that on the monkey bars like it was nothing. also. how come they dont sleep through the night?

Idk man it depends on the kid. Don’t judge but I have 5 of them. One is still a baby and 2 are quiet and typically reserved. They’d rather play with their toys than run around. The other 2 are freaking hellions and won’t stop moving. Legit all day they’ll run full speed around the house like they’re running off the Speed Force or something. They also eat more, drink more, and are thicker.

It’s more than likely a combination of multiple different factors. Genetics, diet, upbringing, and so on. I notice most younger kids don’t sit down and gorge themselves at one meal like adults do. They’ll more or so pick at meals and snack throughout the day. That’s probably because of the amount of energy they’re constantly putting out.

Like I said I don’t really know. It’s more or so an educated guess.

Is this secretly a cry for help?

I suspect that it has to do with their expectations. When we do something we keep energy in reserve to get us through the day until we can go to sleep.
What I notice with my toddler is that he keeps running around until he is to tired to move at all.

It may also have something to with their small bodysize. It takes much less energy/muscles to move a small body than it takes to move a larger one.
(Compare an ant which can lift x times his bodyweigth to an elephant which can’t)
