How do we think of something important that we tell ourselves “I need this” or “This has to be done”, but then suddenly forget everything about the subject and can never remember it despite trying to remember what you forgot?

It’s difficult to just remember something all the time because that would take up a lot of brainpower and make daily life more difficult. If you think about what you do on a daily basis, you don’t really remember something or think of something unless you *have* to, or unless what you’re doing right now would warrant remembering something important. IMO, one of the biggest flaws in the brain is only needing your memory when you *need* your memory, if you know what I mean.
