The engine continually recharges the car battery. (You never have to take the battery out and plug it in somewhere else; it charges from the engine directly). But, in order to run, the engine needs a little bit of electricity; just enough for a spark.
A dead battery has no electricity in it. Jump starting – connecting up another source of electricity – can get the engine running. Once it is running, it charges the battery that’s still there; then that battery can keep the engine running because now it has charge again, and the external battery can be removed. (You should keep the engine running long enough to properly charge your battery; driving to your destination will probably do it).
If the battery dies often, then it may need replacing; after a while, batteries will start to have trouble holding onto charge. This will generally take four or five years; though this may vary depending on many things.
The car just needs enough juice to start.
As in enough to make spark plugs spark and ignite the fuel and turn the engine. Once that happens the engine motion makes pulleys turn.
The pulleys have belts and those belts turn different thing like water pump or alternator.
The alternator is like a little generator. It begins to charge your dead battery.
If you turn your car off right away more then likely it won’t start under it’s own power again.
However if you let it run or drive around a bit the battery gets changed enough you’ll be able to start your car
