Is hydrogen “magnetic” where atoms are attracted to each other, and given enough material a star forms ? I saw an episode of how the universe works is what got me wondering.

ummm the word you’re looking for is gravity, gravity is the force that attacks all this atoms together until they ball of gas is massive enough to actually reach the pressures and temperatures to achieve fusion.
