How does a tumble dryer know its filter is full?

Is it to do with the amount of air that can pass through it?

You don’t mean like for the lint do you?

either air pressure or a photodiode with an IR led shining through the filter (that’s how it was solved on a projector I had)

Excellent point. It’s quite a small drum too, which probably means it’s much worse for the environment!

Agree 100%. It’s the most satisfying part of the entire process.

That’s sort of what I thought, but good to know. Cheers.
