How does a zit/pimple go away naturally?

People say don’t pick your skin because it makes pimples/zits worse, but I don’t really get how they go away on their own if I don’t pop them. I searched online, but the sources that I was able to find only explained pimple formation and treatment options as opposed to the process that makes them go away. If I understand that process, I think I’ll be able to stop picking at my skin so much.

Does the pus just dissipate back into the skin? Does the skin push it out on its own? What’s my body supposed to be doing if I don’t pick at my face?

Macrophages!! Tiny little cells that clean up cellular debris. They eat all sorts of crap. Scabs, dead bacteria, the list goes on.

yes eventually the pus comes out on its own . you just gotta leave it alone . actually i would put some ice on it to make it decrease in size and fade faster
