I recently read a story about a young man who died of an alcohol OD after drinking a half-liter of spirits.
I have drank close to that much before, and I have seen lots of people drink much more than that, and every single one threw up what they had drunk or passed out only to wake up later on. But in this case, the guy passed out and went into a coma before dying.
It made me wonder, how does anyone die of an alcohol OD? I imagine most people would vomit well before their life was at risk. Was the guy in this story just really unlucky? He wasn’t an alcoholic or anything, he was just a guy who went out expecting to have a good time with his friends, and was dead before the night was even over.

Y’all never heard of having a tolerance to alcohol?
If you never really drink that much often don’t go out and drink half a whiskey bottle especially not by your self: I’ve been drinks for 10 years straight and could drink 2 jack daniel bottles 1Litr each by my self everyday and not feel, hunger over sick nauseous or to the point I black out : the only time I do feel the effects of alcohol on my body is when i am withdrawing, say I skip 1 day without drinking, I start getting palpitations high blood pressure cold and hot clams skin insomnia hard to sleep, loss of appetite and so on etc.. but as soon as I drink again all of it goes away… for as long as alcohol is in my system. After that the cycle repeats
