How does body odour work?

The level of smell seems to vary wildly between people, even if they have the same hygiene habits. What makes one person extremely smelly and another odourless with the same amount of sweat?

The odor is actually coming from the bacteria that live on us, which can be unique from person to person because we all tend to go about our lives in our own places.

You get sweaty, bacteria eat it, and poop out the smell you smell as BO.

what GenXcub said….your skin flora is necessary for your health. if you have developed a skin microbiome of “bad microbes”….you can encourage the growth of “good” ones with a healthy regimen/diet.

if you smell bad you might very well be ill and not just have bad hygiene.
