How does fat stay in the same place in the body?

My google searches gave me nothing. How does fat stay in the same place even after pushing on-or squeezing a body part? Our bodies tend to consistently keep fat in the same places. Why is that, and how is it fixed in place?

Body fat is not liquid: it is an accumulation of excess hydrocarbons trapped in cells. These cells are attached to each other and embedded in a matrix of connective tissue. You may as well ask why can’t you move your foot to your knee by pushing on it.
