Gential herpes is caused by a herpes virus, yes you can as the virus could be dormant or the person hasnt developed visual symptoms, the virus is transmitted through bodily fluids, so wear protection.
I’ve heard three different doctors say you can’t pass it, or very low odds if you’ve never had an outbreak. But most people online seem to disagree
