actually i THINK it has to do with molecules on both surfaces basically fusing together. molecules expand in heat and contract in cold. when the surfaces begin to match temperatures, their molecules are kinda velcro’d together if you will

i could be wrong someone please confirm 🙂

If the ice is much colder than freezing, it can also freeze the water in/on your skin and fuse to it.

This only works if the ice is very cold and you’re kinda moist.

Ice sticks to the more moist parts of our body by freezing the water present on that part of the body, forming a sort of glue. Therefore the best way to get unstuck is to pour warm water on the stuck region, melting the ice into liquid water and allowing you to get unstuck.
