All liquid can get absorbed by your skin. Your skin is porous, it will by nature absorb whatever you put on it. Why do you think your hands get wrinkled and soft when they sit in water for too long? Or why nicotine patches can be put on your arm to give you a dose? The skin is absorbing them. Same goes for sunscreen, deodorant, you name it.
