How does my food come in different colors and come out brown/black

The brown comes from the bile. It’s a liquid our body excrete in the stomach in quantity to digest food, we make approximately 1 liter per day. Bile is brown when digested and it color our poops.
People with bile tract obstructed have poop of other colors depending on what they eat, but usually white or beige colored poops.
