Iirc we still don’t know how exactly anestitics works. We know it works and we know there’s a range of factors that will affect it and how to control for those factors with the dosage but how it actually does to our body is still largely unproven.
Fun fact but being ginger makes it less effective!
You’re not smelling it. You’re inhaling it. By inhalation it gets into your bloodstream. That’s where it makes you sleepy.
