How does the body know where food vitamins go?

For example beets are good for the blood because of vitamin A. How does the body know to send it to the blood and not like to the brain or the skin or the intestines?

A true ELI5 answer is that the vitamins go everywhere, transported through your blood, but certain organs like certain vitamins, and will use them as they need and it makes them happy.

Similar to painkillers like paracetamol, your body doesn’t know ‘where’ the pain is … but the paracetamol works because it goes everywhere and your brain blocks the pain from nerve signals that are sending it.

Your body doesn’t “know” where anything goes. Things just circulate throughout your whole body through your bloodstream.
