How does the contact lens stay in the center of the eye and not go anywhere in the white part when already worn?

When the optometrist makes your prescription, they include your eye measurement, and prescribe you a contact that fits to your eye size/shape. It doesn’t move outside of external force because it’s fits your eye, just like if you get the right size pants they don’t fall down.
