When you buy specifically marked items, you get a monopoly sticker. If you complete a set, you get a discounted/free item from the menu.

There are several high level rewards. In the past, one side would be included with the regular printing. The other side will be printed in limited quantities and hand delivered to a few locations.

2 out of each set of three pieces are printed in bulk and distributed far and wide (1 out of 2 for the first and last set, and 3 out of 4 for the railraods)railroads. The other piece in each set is printed by one company and distributed with extreme selectivity. There are all sorts of security precautions with the rare pieces, but, as a documentary on the story shows, it’s not unbeatable. So, basically, everybody gets Park Place (or whatever it’s called in your locality), but only 1 person will get Boardwalk in any given iteration of the game. The Uncommon pieces are handled the same way as the rares, but without as much security (Free Meals, $20, whatever the middling/little prizes are in that iteration)

There’s a misconception that every piece is printed equally. In reality a million of Boardwalks can be printed and one Park Place. Basically you have to find a rare piece.

A couple decades back the guy responsible for distributed the valuable pieces…just stole them.
