It’s the same gas delivered through the same pipes.
Your supplier doesn’t supply different gas. Gas is “fungible” which means that it can be swapped and no one will know the difference.
The gas comes from the big gas producing companies which put gas into the pipelines. The pipelines carry it to your house.
At the end of the month everyone then works out how much gas was used, and how much was put in and by who. Then everyone works out who owes how much money.
The job of your supplier is to take your meter reading and deal with paying the gas producer base on how much gas you used. Also because gas prices fluctuate, your supplier may arrange to fix prices in advance with producers, or pre order the gas so that they know in advance who to pay and the producers know in advance how much to produce.
