How is a fat cell created?

I saw where fat cells cant be destroyed once they are created. How are they created?

Adipocytes are created same as any other cell, from mother cells (pluripotent stem cells) and based on some chemical signals they evolve towards a type or cell or another. They can be in fact destroyed but not how you think. I will need to explain to a level a bit above ELI5😅
