Caught a winter cold and I feel like I’ve gone through a dozen tissue boxes in the last week. And yet it’s not over T_T

Mucus is one of your body’s natural defence mechanisms against infection. Mucus traps pathogens so that you cough/spit them out instead of ingesting them. When you’re sick, your immune system is in overdrive and it’s going to produce a lot more mucus to try to eradicate as much as possible.
