how is normal glass made different from reflective glass?

Reflective glass has a layer on one side, usually called “silvering” (but not always actually silver) with another protective layer on top of that to protect the silvering. This layer allows it to reflect all the light. The glass itself is often just normal, transparent glass. It’s the reflective layer that makes the difference.
