Me and my family got the magenta family phone plan from T-Mobile. In the plan it says we get 20GB 4G LTE mobilehotspot data. After 20 GB, it goes to unlimited 3G mobile hotspot data. I don’t understand any of this. If i keep it on will it use it up? How long would this usually last. Also, were at a cabin and i’m trying to download a game on my PS4 and there is about 37 GB left to download over 25 hours but if i use my iPhone hotspot it dropped it down to 6 hours. Should i keep it on or will it use it all up?

Basically the first 20gb of data you use won’t be artificially restricted in speed. Once you hit that for a billing cycle, you can still use an unlimited amount of data, but the speeds will be restricted by the carrier
