[There have been many cases of this happening](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Feral_child) with varying results, sometimes they integrate back into society and learn to speak sometimes not.

The age limit seems to be around 3, presumably children abandoned before then are unable to survive even if taken in by an animal.
